QUEST - our journey to software craftsmanship
Mona Soni
VP Engineering
Dow Jones
When I moved into my current role and started working with my teams I had established goals with them to evolve ourselves not the principles of software craftsmanship through our initiative QUEST. Four years ago when we started this joinery most of the teams were not writing unit tests, automated tests or fully utilizing CI/CD practices. Though QUEST we have been able to establish a culture where these practices are the top priority for the teams and they have come to value: Not only working software, but also well-crafted software Not only responding to change, but also steadily adding value Not only individuals and interactions, but also a community of professionals Not only customer collaboration, but also productive partnerships Mona Soni, VP Engineering, Dow Jones - Recorded for the online CTO Summit on Tuesday December 8th, 2020 on "Resilience engineering" - https://www.ctoconnection.com/
