Writing Engineering Ladders for your culture

If you're an engineering leader you know that at some point, you're going to new to write a new engineering ladder or update your current one. While that work can seem ambiguous and time consuming, it doesn't have to feel intimidating. In this talk I'll walk through a process for writing an engineering ladder that I've improved over many years at 4 different companies. The process is first and foremost inclusive so diverse perspectives are facilitated and included, it empowers your engineers to write their own ladder, and it gives you a way to both show and tell your engineers what great engineering culture looks like.
