From gatekeeper to guide - a developer-first approach to AppSec
Clinton Herget
Field CTO
Snyk
DevOps processes, daily deployments, and cloud-native technologies have accelerated modern development, changing the way applications are built. In order to scale and manage security risk in this modern environment, security teams need to shift from gatekeepers to guides - enabling developers to become the front line in the security process, while including elements that used to be ‘infrastructure’ in the scope of AppSec. During this session, Clinton will walk through some of the key steps engineering teams can take to transition to a developer-first security process.
