When I was given the opportunity to lead an Engineering team for the first time I was both scared beyond belief and also exhilarated. I started to view myself differently and as things progressed I gained more confidence in my ability to lead. In this talk I'll share with you the research I did in order to prepare for this role and the five key lessons I learned from my first role as a VP of Engineering.
